Arrived at the lease this morning for an early morning hunt. This is what I found... (first time adding pictures...let me know if they don't show up)  And this is what I ended up with....  So much for my honey hole this season....they won't be done until mid December.
I'd be a vegitarian too if bacon grew on trees.

That sucks...the owner should've told ya in advance this was goin down . At least they didn't drop one on your feeder or take tree with your cam.

I'm looking forward to next season..this area should be really good...just wish they would have picked one of the other 9 months to clear it out. They guy I talked to was apologetic this morning. He could tell I was bummed but I told him that I know he has a job to do and that I appreciated the care they took to not damage my popup, camera or feeder.
I'd be a vegitarian too if bacon grew on trees.

On my first lease I chose a timber farm. hundreds of acres and my area was perfect. I went opening morning to find my area bulldozed. Not at that place anymore!

Hardin County... 6500 acre lease...an they are thinning 100 acres right around me.

Had the same thing happen to me last year. I wasn't to happy but I was nice to guys that were logging and they actually fixed my roads for me. All it cost me was a 12 pack.

Yes, such things really make us realize that deer are not near as important to everyone else as they are to us. WHAT!? Say it ain't so!! The logger told me if I wanted to sit in the popup I was guaranteed to see two "deer" and a Jack@$$, but asked me not to shoot either of his John Deere bulldozers or him. I told him I didn't get any Jack@$$ tags this year.

I bet when the noise is done, the deer will be all "up in there dawg" LOL Next year will even be better with all the new growth getting some sun.
