Not an uncommon site around certain parts of Texas, but I've only seen one before down here. We had two come in together about 30 mins after LST on Saturday outside Bay City. Nice little bonus:

Arise.Kill.Eat -Acts 10:13 I have read a bunch of stuff on the internet about Star Wars but that does not mean I can skin a deer with a light saber.

Nice little bonus: I guided a teal hunt in Bay City this year. I told the clients to not fire a shot at anything until I see it first. There were hundreds of wood ducks in that hole.

There seems to be a lot of them down this year. I am over in Louisiana but I hunt a marsh that hardly ever kills wood ducks. Maybe 1 or 2 a year. So far this year I have killed at least one every hunt. Last Tuesday I killed a banded one. It was banded in Wisconsin. We have killed a total of 21 out of my blind this year.

Interesting on the increased amount this year, maybe I'll see more.
It was about two years ago when I last saw one and that was outside Katy.

Yeah I watched many woodrows get gunned down by barneys during teal season.
Thanks for all the positive THF support. Y'all are awesome.

I killed a drake in seadrift last season. You wanna talk about confused as hell. Then last week I heard the unmistakeable shreek of a wood duck in the same area. Just goes to show that you will never know exactly what you're going to shoot
