Every time i drive the property where i work i see tons of deer and they are mostly young yearlings with a milk mustache, lookin all lost cuz there mom just kicked em off. I dont think i have ever seen so many yearlings, did we have an unusualy high fawn survival this year? Skinner

I'm not a biologist by any means but I did see a couple sets of twins this year. I believe we simply had a big crop of littlin's last year.

Lot's of fawns, lots of yearlings. The yearlings look pretty good too. Last year's great acorn crop kept deer in the woods, must have helped with health and survival rate, but that's just a hunch.

not in Bell, Co.
I am concerned with our fawn crop, seein very few fawns runnin around and not many yearlings out and about. Seen 2 nubbin yearlings and a yearling doe all season.
lots of 2 and 3 year old BUCKS, might just be the acorn crop, but we have been seein hardly any does this year. Should turn with the rut.....hopefully!

We are seeing tons of 1.5 and 2.5 year deer on our Stonewall County place. Had two years of really good fawn crops. Next couple of years ought to be good.

I've seen a good amount of fawns around Burnet and Lampassas Counties. Several sets of twins.

Lots of yearlings on our place in Val Verde Cty. 3 does have sets of twins and all but 2 that we have seen have a yearling with them. We had a lot of rain in the area this summer so that might have helped. The place in Laredo looks normal some have yearlings some dont, nothing out of the ordinary.
