Well it was a warm weekend and very windy. Saturday morning I saw a big what I thought was an 8 point come out from the road about 100 yards from my 6 ft deer stand. I hit a doe bleat at him and it spooked him and I lost him in the binoculars. Well I told myself I was going to go back to my stand top look for him again that evening. I get in my stand at 4 and get on some forums too read about deer movement. I look up and sure enough the buck came out of the same spot he did in the am. I grabbed my binoculars and watched him walk out. He went to the middle of the field and I bleated at him again which again he spooked and started trotting off towards my dad's friends deer stand. I then grabbed my buck roar grunt call and grunted. He sure enough sstopped, turned Broad side and I took the Shot at about 230-250 yards. Not knowing if I made a clean shot on him I waited 5 minutes and grabbed gun and bag and started walking the field. I text my dad and said I made a shot at an 8 point about 150 yards and don't know of I hit him I walked the field where I thought I shot and couldn't find anything. As soon as I turn around he was laying there dead.my dad came up and said that was way farther than 200 yards and had guessed that it was at 230-250 yards Was an amazing shot and haven't shot a deer in 20 years. I was 4 when I took my first 3 point. Now I'm 24 and got me a pretty 10 point.

Man what am exciting weekend I had with my dad his best friend and my sister. I won't ever forget the look on my dad's face when he told me he couldn't believe I made a shot that far.

Shot him with my browning a bolt stainless stalker in 30.06

Pictures don't do justice of the time we had and the memories that will now forever stick with me.

Nice buck! Rifle pointed right at pops belly button. I'd be careful with that brother.

Thanks. It was unloaded. Only put one bullet in that is now in the deer. Gun safety is number one.

Some people just don't know how to congratulate.

Good looking deer and sounds like you truly had a great time. Congrats.
