First time in about 30 yrs I now have everything handy on one bench. My 50 yr old Pacific Multi C Press works like new with a couple of squirts of oil. I got a laminated Oak Bench with 4 drawers, vise, and lower tray from Harbor Frgt for about $138. Only drawback was it took about 5 1/2 hrs to assemble. Added some pcs of marble for my scales and Lyman elec scale & powder trickler. I'd forgotten how much easier it was with a designated loading room/man cave!

Good for you, Don. A nice bench makes loading a pleasure!

Welcome back to the game, Don. I agree, it's MUCH easier when you have a dedicated space to work in.
Post a pic of your new bench if you can!

When I moved 35 years ago my old bench was too big & heavy to carry up the stairs so I elected to rebuild a new one upstairs. I put the old bench out in the garden area and used it to cut & wash veggies. Last week a friend asked about a work bench and I told him he could have it, would need a few new boards. One hour last night with a framing gun and some scrap lumber and we loaded a bench into his truck that was stout enough hold a 426 ci hemi.

How do you guys get away with that? I'm still trying to break in my "new to me" Wife of 23 years and she is still trying to house break me into using indoor plumbing. My previous entry level Wife was just as narrow minded as this one is.
Mine will always be a Morgan building in the back yard where spent primers on the floor, gun cleaning concoctions, brass trimmings and spilled powder aren't an issue. The only thing I get to keep inside are reloading manuals.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.

I had a dedicated loading & gun room up and running when my wife moved in. I guess it's easier to hold onto something than to get it, at least in some cases.

The only thing I get to keep inside are reloading manuals. Apparently you haven't learned the fine points of whining & sniveling. Look up (better when looking up) and whine about how cold it is in the building, or if in the summer say something like "I'm wasting money because it is so hot my sweat keeps dropping into the powder." Another good one is "Wish you would come out and read or watch tv so we could be together." Don't make the mistake I did, which was getting her interested in shooting. Found myself wasting time reloading for the wife, although I did get another Dillon out of that deal.

When the boy stuck out on his own, I claimed his room. If he comes back, he sleeps on the floor.

Three of my boys said they are never leaving and my old house was terminal so the wife got a new one. She was tired of trying to get by me on my press in hall pantry so she got a 5 Bdrm 3 bath home. I will be working on my MAN CAVE for awhile.

I'm very lucky to have my barn workshop with bathroom, small bedroom and kitchen (well, most of a kitchen). It's a woodworking shop until it needs to be a reloading shop - when I set up all the stuff. It's pretty quick to do. Plenty of TV's, but no phone - on purpose. When I finish up this small table (in cherry), I'll load up some more 65 gr Sierra GK's for my 223. My 100 yard shooting range bench (covered) is 40 feet from the workshop and my closest deer blind is about 200 yards away. I'm a very lucky guy.

My buddy in Tarpley has a room complete with kitchen and bath in his metal building and we have a bench on the porch with a range from 25-300 yds.
