You need to retitle this post. NICE doesn't even begin to describe your buck. The fact that it was a low fence east Texas deer is even more impressive. I've seen some monsters that have been taken there, but normally it's more difficult. You did a great job Chris. Cheers cheers

Awesome Buck, We have a place in anderson county as well, deer have been getting better and better, 3 trophies in as many years have come off our low fence place.

The crab claw on the right with the extra finger makes him look like one of those Italian guys that puts his fingers together in front of his face, makes a smug look, and sort of nods.

Thanks for the compliments. It was an Incredible buck and the largest one I've ever taken. I am new to this forum but not new to hunting by any means. I killed my first deer with my bow when I was 11 outside of Chester Texas and have been hunting ever since then. I've put in countless hours in the woods from meat hunting family land in South East Texas, to Day leases in San Saba, National forest land,land near Aspermont, Richland Creek WMA, Anderson county, and many other areas. Here are pics of some of the ones I've been blessed to take over the last few years. They were killed in Aspermont, Aspermont, and Richland Creek WMA

beautiful buck! I have been hunting northwest Anderson county for 25 years, and have never seen a buck pushing 140 out there. We have killed a few 6 year old 130's, but certainly never anything close to 170.
