Just saw the buck you were after and he's a monster. I hope you get him.

I saw a Wide 10 w stickers on opening morning myself that would only give me his backside as I grunted (basically yelled at him) while he was exiting the opening, and now he haunts my dreams. So, I hope you get em!

you talkin bout this one?

i havent gotten any pics of him since that one and my buddy is only "pretty sure" it was him that he saw a few weeks ago mingling around in the trees. i'm not to the point of surrender just yet but he will be very tempting in another month or so.

i took off work tomorrow afternoon to run out and set that old feeder up, i took off thursday and friday too and am going to hunt my lease thursday, my buddy was out there today and said bucks were running crazy, and will be back in hunt county on friday to see whats up.

i am hoping this patch of turnips and radishes will bring them back after some good freezes, all the seed got washed to this low spot during a hard rain the day after we planted.

same with the oats, the seed got bunched up in the low spots during the rain:

and the wheat:

they arent as thick as i had hoped but are filling in slowly, the 2 days of hard rain right after planting actually kind of hurt us as a bunch of our seed washed away, you can really tell that they are being hit pretty good though too, hopefully the freeze tonight will help that even more.

Do you have cameras on the plots? I have a couple plots and the deer are hitting them hard, keeping my wheat mowed down tight...but the plots are hanging in there. I have had a couple pics of deer just sitting down and chilling in the plots for a bit, but none sleeping there all night or anything.

So far my radishes haven't gotten hit yet, but mine are no where as big as yours yet, getting there, plus they are just mixed in with the wheat.

Hoping the freeze last night and tonight helps bring more deer into the plots and also the feeders. With things so green around, it is hard to see many deer...

Good luck and hope you see Big or his brother sometime this year!

i had two cameras crap out on me last month and have the others scattered around on trails but i put one up on the oat side yesterday. they are hitting mine hard too, i checked it good yesterday and you can definately tell they are mowing it down.

i moved the old green gravity feeder to the back and filled her up, also found a big new scrape by my tree stand, its about time for the rut up here so we will see.

heading to the "big" lease this morning, bucks were running crazy two days ago, ill update if anything good happens.

saw my first nice buck of the year at 8, looked like a tall 8 but i coukdnt get a good look because my awesone 15 year old binos were fogged up. he was only about 75 yards away but ive got the hoyt today and aint quite that good yet.

i had something coming down the trail at about 730 but it turned and walked away before i could really see it.
