I have a bunch of .308 diameter 150 grain Remington bronze points. I loaded some in a 308 Winchester and they were very accurate. Has anyone ever used these bullets for hunting and did you like them?

if they are truly bronze point
bullets, you'd be best off to sell
them to a collector. nothing at
all wrong with them though.
it's the first "balistic tip" bullet.

I've used them in 30-06 and like stated above performance is similar to ballistic tips. They are said to be the motivation that caused the development of the Nosler Ballistic Tip.

Bullet have come along way since they first tried bronze or ballistic tips. My dad had some bronze tips way back in 70's and he shot a monster mulie only to have bullet explode on impact. Blew up when it hit ribs and found the deer a few days later long ways from where it started. Think they were Hornady bullets...he has bad taste for ballistic tip in any form. The new generation bullet is much better.

I shot a deer years ago when I was in jr. high, but I cant remember how the bullet did. I do think the deer fell right where I shot it. I wanted to try them mostly to bring back memories of my youth. Thanks.
