Is it even possible to obtain permits to hunt Grevy's Zebra in Texas?

I have seen them in the wild when were were killing pirates in the Danakil desert.

They are ugly striped donkeys compared to proper zebras farther south.

Wade if you ended up with a photo of your gutting yours, I'll contribute to the Save Wade, legal aid fund.

I assumed they were live sale....but I was just curious if anyone had information on possibly hunting them. If you truly cannot get permits for them, it's a shame. If you can't hunt them, they are basically just novelty animals.

LOL Roo....they are pretty similar in appearance to Hartman's Mountain Zebra from Namibia. Haven't you taken a Hartman's?

Yep in 2005, the face of a Hartmanns is not donkey-esque like the Grevys. The stripes are very similar.

Mine is still in Namibia with the rest of the animals from that trip.

Nothing like sending an expeditor $4500 and not ever receiving your animals. [img][/img]

See he has a horse face, he was about a 2 or 3 year old stallion. The one another client shot was almost 250 heavier and a foot longer.

They are the biggest species of wild equine.

Damn shame. I have had zebra skins stolen out of a shipment before myself - fortunately got the rest of the critters
