Hey Guys, so I will give a little background first. I bought a Matthews Heli-M at the end of last hunting season and began shooting frequently getting ready for this season. I have done a TON of scouting, and felt I had a good stand set up. I am a Senior Civil Engineering major, and literally every minute outside of work , and school I have been in the woods. I live near Tyler Texas. I posted on here the other day and asked the best doe urine attractant! I picked up some golden estrus like you all recommended. Thursday morning on my way into the stand, I drug a drag with Golden Estrus on it, and then went past where you turn off to go into my stand, and continued up with the golden estrus, then hung the drag in a tree decently close to my corn. At 9:30, a doe came out and was eating Corn. I could tell the doe was acting very nervous, and all of a sudden she took off. About 30 seconds later I looked to my left, and my buck was following the exact trail I took with the drag, head to ground at times, on a mission, and followed the exact path up to right where I stopped the drag, and offered a shot! He was quartering at me at 24 yards, and after a Rage Hypodermic went through him passing through shoulder and lung, he only made it 27 yards. The Rage Hypodermics are UNBELIEVABLE! the blood trail was incredible. Golden Estrus did the trick, Thanks Guys SO MUCH for the advice on the Estrus! After the shot was one of the most incredible moments I have ever had. I have killed several deer with a gun, but this being my best deer, and 1st deer with a bow is something I will truly never forget! It was definitely a God moment with me afterwards, and words just cannot describe the happiness I felt. In fact I had to wait about 30 minutes to calm down enough to climb out of my stand. Anyways, here is my 1st deer with a bow!

Congrats on your first bow kill, sounds like your setup was by the book to the t and it paid off for you.
Your gonna be hooked on that bow. I killed my first deer with a bow 4 years ago and haven't picked a gun up since. It's a feeling that can't be beat.
