Negative. Saw a doe today at 150 yds. Lots of tracks from this past weeks rain, but not much activity otherwise.

Lost 2 arrows while going through some greenbriar (mistake 1: following hog tracks into greenbriar), and couldn't find the arrows when backtracking (didn't try too hard- greenbriar sucks).

Anyone had any luck out there this year? I am thinking of making a trip up this weekend. Any suggestions on where to park are welcome!

Been going out every weekend. saw does during archery season, only 1 was close enough (3 YDS!!!), but she kept walking straight at me and couldn't draw my bow.

Seeing a couple does during gun season, still no bucks, heard a couple shots on the unit I was on or the private next to it (DARNIT for me!), but hopefully someone else got something.

Surprisingly it was more crowded today than it was last weekend. Could have been because it was also duck opener last Saturday, so people may have skipped out on deer for that?

I'm gonna keep trying, and hope I see something I can harvest.

Good luck!

I was interested in Hunting the LBJ, but does anyone know why it is not showing up on TPWD? (Ladonia Unit & Bois D' Arc Unit do)

Because LBJ is not a type II or controlled by TPWD. You need to call or go by the LBJ office in Decatur.

Thanks, i think i answered my question after posting. I did not know that LBJ did not require the APH. I wish there was a simple place to find all hunting areas, their costs and requirements.
