eating my opening day victums yesterday and I missed a BB and now I will need to go and see the dentist this week I am guessing that a crown will be about 6 or 7 hundred bucks!!! gonna have to shoot alot of ducks to ofset the grocery bill so I can pay for my tooth.

Does anyone have a way to make sure the meat is "safe" Other than buying a metal detector???

I use the Apache method of duck hunting. I ambush them from the blind, flint knife in hand. One flick of the wrist and the bird is down for the count.

unless the broadhead on my arrow happens to leave some metal behind my ducks are safe on the table. Just another reason to leave the shotgun behind and duck hunt the real way, throwing stars also are very reliable.

More business for me. Sorry about the crown though. They are a bit pricey.

I usually go through the meat real well with my hands and just feel for the shot, especially around wound channels.

Maybe you could cut the meat thinner and feel for it that way? I've never tried that but anything beats having to spend 600-700 bucks for a new crown.

I've only bit shot once in my life and that was enough to have me spending alot more time feeling for steel and chewing slower.

sorry to hear about your tooth. One bit of advice, don't let one of those bbs go into the garbage disposal

thankfully most shot goes threw and threw...I've almost had this happen to me in the past too. Terrible feeling when you bite down on something like a steel bb.

I was thinking I would let the tooth fall out and then I could be a guide in La.

use a tooth pick and push it through the holes if there is no exit point
