My daughter picked this buck from the game cam about a month ago and said she wanted to hunt him. On our way to the lease Friday she told me her plan was to fill her buck tag this weekend so she could go shopping with mom on Black Friday (she has always been in the deer stand on Thanksgiving weekend and has never experienced the shopping nightmare). I told her it sounded good but that the deer had to hold up his end of the deal as well. Sure enough the good Lord was looking down on us when her buck stepped out just before dark on Saturday. After a major bout of buck fever she was able to connect with a perfect 140yrd shot that would make any hunter proud (especially her dad). Thanks for the memories Mayson Kate, I know he will look good on your wall at Aggie LAnd next year.
