Looking for suggestions on a decent trail cam with a viewer built in. $150 or less.

Spend an extra $50 and get a moultrie 990i.
I put batteries in this thing in August over a feeder and it's taken over 5,500 pics, crystal clear pics at that, and battery life still reads 100%!!!
And it has the viewer you are looking for. Very user friendly.

Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life.

Cabela's Outfitter camera has been good so far. 20,000+ pics since mid August and still showing 3/4 battery

Does it come with an SD card? How many pics will an 8 gb card hold?

Also, can you delete pics from the viewer screen or do you have to use a card reader and do it from a computer?

Or are there any creative ways of viewing pics in the field on camera's that do not have a viewer screen?

I know they sell portable viewers but they're expensive. Is there such a think as a SD card reader that plugs into an android phone. I did a quick google search and it looks like it but they were on amazon. I don't know if they actually work.

Just buy 2 cards per camera. pull and replace with empty card and go back to camp and look at them on a laptop.

Take a point and shoot digital camera with you. Pull the card before your hunt and insert into camera and view the pics during the downtime of you hunt. You can also delete images to free up memory on your card. Insert card back into game cam on your way out. On slow days its a great way to pass the time.
