Awesome! Congrats. Tell us the story! Well I'm not great at story telling but here you go. It was opening morning so of course i was pumped up. I got out to my spot almost 45 min earlier than I should have! I'm not sure if you can make out the feeder in the picture but I set up 350 yds away. I hear some fighting going on and when it was light enough to see what was happening I noticed two big body bucks fighting outside my panels. There were 9 does inside the pin. The bucks stayed in the area fighting until it was light enough to see the horns. Two very nice bucks one was a big eight and the other a very nice 10. By this time I had been watching/hearing them for about 1.5 hours and decide I want to shoot that 10 point. I get set up and take the gun off safety. As I am lining up my shot I see another deer coming up from the draw along side the mountain to the left. When I saw him I knew he was a hoss! He came in at about 450 yards and walked straight to me so I couldn't get a good shot. I watched him jump the fence and eat at the feeder for another 25-30 min. He then walked straight back to the water (by the rusted rail cart in the picture) which was 587 yards away. At this point I just knew he was going to go into the draw behind the rail cart and be gone for good. He stood there for about 20 min and much to my surprise he decided to go right. I ranged him at 609 when he turned broadside and then I shot...after a cloud of dust...he fell where he stood. I'm sure I don't have to tell yall but the heart was going! As I walked up to him he just didn't seem to have the normal horn shrinkage I usually get!
