Evidently the scope has that much adjustment. We got it back on paper at 25 yards after a lot of turns...

6' high @ 100??
Most guns should be dang close to the same zero from 50yrds to 100yrds. If she's 3-4' high at 50yrds she should have been 3-4' high at 100yrds. It won't double just because you move out 50 more yards. Either way her gun/scope was way off!

I'll have to disagree with you on that, sir.

I'll disagree as well. Simple trig calculations will tell you otherwise.

should have been around 288 clicks down if you have a 1/4 " at 100 yds right or wrong?

well it like this. if there 1/4 in clicks at 100 yards then there 1/8 at 50 and 1/2 at 200 and so on. So it takes 8 clicks to move down 1 inch and were 36 inches high 8x36= 288 clicks and a scope does not have that many clicks. So help me figure this out

Got an old bsa scope. Spun it all the way down and loosely counted all the way back up, somewhere around 50 clicks per revolution and around 8 full revolutions..

Oh my! That is a bad miss.

6mm284, I think you might want to rethink your ballistics here.

And I thought 3-4" high was bad...WOW

Thankfully the deer wasn't wounded and you checked it out before taking the gun out again.
