 243 ammo hard to find

Well, I went yesterday to shoot the 243 and had half a box. Shot all of it not thinking I would have a hard time finding shells. I went to two Academys and nothing, panic starts to set it. Then i have to drive back from McKinney to Allen at the Cableas. They had 6 boxes of one brand only. Dang that was close. LOL

It's rifle season. It may be a bit more difficult to find until around Feb.

I kinda had the same problem. I knew this year I was going to put my .243 barrel back on and use it this season.
Earlier in the year, with the ammo shortage, I figured .243 wasn't one of the ones in demand. Well, it wasn't, but panic buying meant people bought dang near everything in common chamberings. The least-costly ammo I could find was Hornady Superformance. I got two boxes; one to sight-in and one to shoot. At least I didn't have to buy panic-inflated and already expensive Ted Nugent ammo.

I had the same issues trying to find it at Academy here in Corpus. All they had in .243 was the Ted Nugent brand and I wasn't going to pay that much for .243 ammo. I ended up finding a lot Remington .243 at Wal-Mart

Yep, I've been having trouble finding a decent selection as well. It was everywhere during the panic but can barely be found now, even online.
My local walmart has had the federal "deer thugs" ammo so I bought two boxes and it shoots exceptionally out of my rifle, so I bought two more boxes today.
Luckily I have a '06, 308 and 223 also.
