We have seen 4 bobcats around one end of our lease in the past week. My question is could they be the reason for deer that were being seen regularly at one of our feeders to suddenly quit showing up? The feeder at the other end ofthe lease (about 1/4 mile away) is still gettin deer.

Bobcats have been known to attack and take down deer. We had a pic of on here not long ago.

If they can't take them down, they'll durn sure harass them.

Thanks big Orn. That might be our problem. I gues we will have to try and "harass" the bobcats with a little .22 lead!

I saw a bobcat and fairly small buck cross paths in the clearing in front of my stand once. There was no real confrontation, but I would say the cat acted much more concerned than the buck.

I was hunting a friends place down in Junction 2 years ago and there was a very small first year doe at the feeder by itself. I noticed something creeping down the hillside toward the feeder. Turned out to be a big bobcat and he had his eye on the small doe. He would only move when her head was down. I let him get within about 15 yards before I popped him. After the fact Id wished I would have let him go for the kill......would have been a sight to see.
