This guy's nickname is "horse shoe," and he has looked the same for the past two years. He was definitely on the cull list this year. My old man got a crossbow this year, and this buck presented a 20yd broadside shot. When I went to pick up my old man there lie a bloodied arrow with one of the blades from the slick trick broken. He was sure he had made an excellent shot with a complete pass through, but there wasn't any blood at all. He had seen the buck run into the woods, and we looked for about two hours without any sign.

Well needless to say, 4 days later he shows up on the TC. You can obviously see the entrance wound and what looks like an exit. This guy seems to be alright, and will get a pass for the year due to being HARDCORE.

Looks it hit the shoulder blade. Don't really see any sign of the exit.

That's insane that it wouldn't of penetrated the bone past the shoulder blade.

Not necessarily a broadhead wound. Could have been hooked by another buck!

I hit a buck at 18 yards a bit higher but in the shoulder blade with a NAP 3 blade shot from a bow. I could see the arrow stuck in him when he jumped out of the pen and crow hopped out about another 50 yards and stood behind some taller brush. He turned and ran off in thicker brush and I lost him. I found the arrow (all but 3"-4" of it)very close to that last place I saw him but never found the deer. 6 weeks later I seen the same buck chasing a doe and he was moving fine but he was much thinner.
I killed him the next year with no sign of a wound or broadhead much less. This time I hit him thru the lungs and he only went 30 yards and piled up. He was bigger the year after than the first year.

Well that's good to know it has happened before. I couldn't believe it.

So he got a pass thru? I dont see an exit hole. If that is an entrance wound he may have hit a little forward.

Theres an episode of bone collector where Tbone seems to make a perfect shot on a big buck. Gets a complete pass thru. Then later in the same morning the same buck comes by waddel thousands of yards away and seems fine other than a big hole behind its shoulder. Waddel smokes him in what looks like the same hole abd he piles up 50 yards away.

I looked at the arrow today and there is blood on the whole arrow and on the fletching.

I clearly see what looks like an exit wound. You guys need to zoom in or fill your prescription or something.

That's a tough deer.

I don't see a pass through either, but tough deer nonetheless.
