I just asked a similar question under land and leases. If you hear anything let me know too. I have been wanting to get out there and check it out but would like to hear some input first. Thanks Matt

Old Sabine is one of the best in my opinion. Our group that hunts OSB has been very successful killing hogs.

Fishmaster,

OSB is a good place for hogs. I see hogs 98% of the time I go. Wish I killed that often but it's never boring. Tend to get a lot of excercise though. Should be able to set and wait but I've always enjoyed walking them up.

Can give you plenty of pointers if you want...word is, there are hogs on the property right now. waiting for word on what part of the 5000 acres they are occupying.

OPC, Thinking about a combo hunt out there this weekend. anyone up for it?

Thanks for the info. Any help you are willing to share is great! I have been out of hunting a few years and dont even know where Old Sabine is but I may drive over Sun.or Mon to check it out. I never hunted a WMA before always had a lease and that isone reason I quit because it got to expensive. Again Thank You for the help. PM me for any info Thanks

I haven't heard from you in a while Mark. I plan on doing 1 more bow hunt at Cooper Sat. morning. The hog hunting will start hard and heavy here in the next couple of weeks. I've been hearing of alot of sightings at White Oak Creek. We are for sure going to make that hunt here pretty soon. There are some ares off the hwy that look like a dozer has been thru there for at least 1/2 mile. These hogs need to be taken out and we plan to take some. Mark give me a call later when you read this.

OPC have you been out to OSB lately? Wondering if you knew where the hogs were holdin' up?

I Know for a fact there are hogs running all up and down about a 6-7 mile stretch of the river at OSB. We went a few weeks ago and kept falling in all the wallows and rooting along the river. We jumped a few about 3 miles in but couldn't get on them. If you walk along the old channel off the middle road and head west there is fresh sign as of Sunday there. After all this rain I can bet the hogs are going to be a little scattered because of the soft ground from the rain. We are planning an assault this Sat. morning and we aren't leaving until we have black hog down. Your other best bet would be to walk the river and just look for fresh sign and push the cane thickets. Anyone is welcome to join the hunt, just have your walking boots on. The more the better. I hope this info helps you and if not send me a private message and I can try to help you more.
