goin out scouting this mornin, 48 degrees, a breath of a SE wind and a blue clear morning! cant wait to see how the ducks are flying!

Lake X reports 25-30 teal early A.M. and a huge 35+ diver duck early P.M.
Lake XX MALLARDS EARLY at LST with Cans, Pintails, divers, mid morning.
Lake XXX TEAL TEAL TEAL all day.

Went to what I thought was going to be "opening morning hole" and saw nothing but a couple of woodies. After checking a few other places with the same result, I dont know what to do. Looks like Im going to need a miracle.

Can i please have the coords for lake XXX? i only saw a couple birds scouting today, so my day off may be better spent in that honey hole.
I like spoonie, his humor is dryer than my duck lease.

I checked out my hunting spot today and it was bone dry. What was a 40 acre pond is now a Just a crusted over, cow tracked, dirt pond.

lake is every bit of 2' low thats reported, we spent a lot of our morning wading in ankle deep mud. The water is warm, dirty, and LOW! there are birds flying, nothing too impressive but hopefully a front will bring us some cold and rain real soon to kick start the season!
There was a nice mix of ducks, we saw a little of everything. Good luck trying to launch out there until rain comes! Lake is TOO LOW, very disappointing!

we hunted the early season in west Texas and there are birds but they are acting shy of decoys and calls already, getting ready for opening day but with temps in the 80's for tomorrow dont know how well we will do, we still have tons of teal, with a mix of mallards and gadwall hopefully it will be good!

Same here. Checked 3 of last years hot spots and all of them dry and cracked. Checked the launch and unless I troll motor an inner tube it will be tough. C'mon rain!
