I am hopelessly addicted to bow hunting. I no longer even own a deer rifle because rifle hunting has lost its allure. I do hunt corp land which limits my means to archery, but for that reason I haven't been eager to hunt elsewhere. Should I get and invite to private land or a lease, I will be slinging arrows for sure.
Stay on it and you'll get your shot. Getting them to come 10yds from you is most of the battle and you seemed to have accomplished that. Good Luck!

I'm with you what a rush to be eye to eye from 10 yards. Guns just don't hold the allure any more. But I'm not selling mine. Just in case this string and stick thing doesn't work out!!!!

There is no better feeling than taking an animal with a bow, and in my opinion it is the only real challenge in hunting. I will never pick up another rifle as long as I hunt. Now I'm not jumping to self my guns yet, but only cause Obama don't want me to have them.

I love shooting em with a bow, but also love rifle season. When I first started bow hunting,I put down the rifle for several years. I just get tired at times of all the hassles that go along with bowhunting. Sometimes its nice to just throw on clothes and grab a propane heater and head out. No worrying about the wind direction, or face mask itching my face. Ive downed two this year with my bow so far, but ready to poke a hole in one with a accubond!

I agree with P&Y. I have been hunting with traditional archery equipment for 40 years and love the rush I get when you could reach out and touch the animal. It keeps my skills sharp but I also love my rifles. Trips to the range feel good and I enjoy the feel and simplicity of the rifle in my hand. I enjoy having the freedom and flexibility to choose how I want to hunt.

I just like to hunt. I've killed a lot of deer with a rifle and shot my first bow deer this year and loved it.
Probably will be bow only at the home ranch from now on out, but I'm not above picking up my rifle on another ranch.
Rifles have a certain appeal to them as well, I enjoying looking and hunting with a fine firearm just as much as I would with a nice recurve
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I love to hunt be it with a bow, rifle, muzzle loader, pistol, or shotgun slugs.
They are all fun and all have their draw to me. Where I hunt is typically senderos so bow hunting is limiting. I still do it and enjoy it but choose to also use other methods to broaden my horizons.
I shot a 180 lb hog this year, I had him at around 5 yards from me at the closest siting on the ground, no blind no chair no nothing, sitting indian style next to a mesquite tree. My heart was beating out of my chest and I know that he had to be able to hear me breathing but didn't mind. It is a rush for sure!
It's hell eatin em live
