Don't pee on a hot exhaust pipe, it STINKS!!!!  Try a electric fence! Takes your mind off the smell. True dat. Some people just have to learn the hard way.

I waited as long as I could wait and I forgot to bring a pee bottle. I thought, "hey, its gonna rain anyways", so I pee on the ground fron 10ft bow blind. 30 minutes later, I have a 3/4 year old doe come up to my blind and goes straight to the pee spot. Then she goes directly under my blind and hung out under me for a good 3 minutes. Then a small buck chased her off. Just thought I'd share... Moral to the story...Dont forget pee bottle cause human pee could attract deer.  So, she hung out where you hung out.

I have whizzed on the ground and had a mature buck walk in and sniff that spot. Then sniff it again. He then turned inside out and that was the last time I ever saw that buck. Don't eat asparagus the night before a hunt, happens every time.

I think people do make to much out of pee. One of my friend hunts next door to a sewage plant. Kills nice bucks every year. Of course the meat smells funny. I did find out farting in the stand will run your wife off.

They smell it and just think it's another deer or something? I always thought they would smell it and think there was a predator around. I have spent so much stinkin money on scent control!! I don't, nor have had tons of time in the field so I always wanted to take any precaution necessary. Almost went flat broke last year because of it too!

Interesting, so the unusual smells garnered curiosity behavior, but not necessarily sexual behavior. From a hunting perspective, I don't think it would matter so long as it got the attention and held the attention of your prey long enough for a shot. I put up a brand new stand a few years ago with my pops and gpa. I had no sooner finished trimming limbs and looked down at gpa whizzing on the ground right under my ladder. I started pulling the stand down, mad as hayl, and he said leave it up, there'll be a scrape here tomorrow. Damn if he wasn't right. Big, fresh scrape the next day. Still hunt that stand and still shoot deer out of it every year.
