Check out the grasslands near Decatur. Lots of public land with real nice country. You can only use a bow or shotgun with slug. One thing I notice was tag it wasn't very crowded and there are lots if areas to hunt. You can get a map that will guide you to all the units you can hunt. Good luck!

Your wanting someone to let three strangers hunt their place for free? I would be embarrassed to ask that

I didnt say free I would be willing to pay a little and share the trophys I just dont have alot of money haveing 4 kids I understand nothing in this world is free and I honestly didnt expect anyone to let me go for free but it dosent hurt to ask you never know the answer to something unless you ask and im not imbarrassed I dont own land and I was just seeing if someone was willing to let me hunt theirs and I would always if anything have shared the trophys or some way worked it out so we both would have gained and maybe I should have said it differently when I posted the tread and I thank you for makeing me see it that way I dont want anyone thinking I would be trying to take advantage of someone.

welcome to the forum.

There are members here that will take vets hunting. Most are members that have been posting for a while in order to get to know them first. Stick around and make some friends and chances will be greater that you could get an invitation to hunt.

Good luck and thank you for your service. up flag

Rum Man, You trust this person to pick up a weapon and defend your Freedom and you want to castrate him for reaching out for assistance. The person who should be ashamed is YOU!!! I am Retired Military. I would do it again and again. Asking for nothing in return but respect. I love this Country. I will Die for this Country. You need to APOLIGIZE to this Individual. Nobody on this forum is going to convince me other wise. I will stop now. This is not my thread. Sorry to hijack your thread my Military Brother. Couldn't stand by and let that go. GOD Bless you and your Family.

Not sure what the big problem is with someone asking for discounted hunting priviledges. Maybe because he posted in the guides & outfitters section of the forum?

I've had numerous people over the years let me tag along for free or lunch or gas $$, and I've also brought complete strangers along with me, never a problem.

Thanks for your service santoderedita!!
