Well, went back out today. Had to build 3 more blinds. All of the ducks were still there but the geese had fresh flooded pastures to feed on instead. Lots of teal out here, some pintails and gadwalls as well. I told yall I was gonna try to get some more pics today so just before I left I wanted to take the camera and see if I could get close, I spooked the birds and they flew to the south side...I rode the 4 wheeler around and hopped down in the ditch...walked a few hundred yards down and there they were. It all worked out perfectly. Got plenty of pics and a video of jumping them up. Needless to say, I've never really taken a video with my camera so as you can tell I was pretty shaky, was a little upset at myself that I didn't keep it stable. Oh well. Here's some birds. About 20 yards away, talk about a ground rake!

Good pics Corey! That place seems familiar. Lol. Garwood has become "exclusive" within the last 10 yrs.
Good to see that you have access for clients there.

Thanks Doug. I just wish I was around when the goose hunting was so hot. My father in law started guiding at the Blue Goose Hunting Club back in the 80s. He said out of all of these years he maybe duck hunted 4 or 5 times. It was always goose hunts, and they used to pound the hell out of em. Now, that the Blue Goose shut down and it became Red Bluff, all they do is duck hunt...he said, he felt like he had to learn to hunt ducks.

I love wet seasons here. Sure the birds scatter but it keeps a bunch in this area.

Yes, it's truly a shame, I could teach you a few things.

You think it matters if he is riding his 4wheeler 2 weeks before the season? What do you think is going to happen next weekend when 100 people are riding 4wheelers on the prairie and the ducks are getting shot at?

The problem with this forum is there are a bunch of smarta$$ people that always have to give their opinion. The dude was showing everyone the birds, who gives a F*$$ if he is riding a hovercraft, he isn't bothering you.

Looks good. Just took a trip, and saw a very large congregation of specks. Saw couple smaller groups as well. Didn't see many ducks but did see fair numbers of doves.

You guide for BuckSnag. Used to hunt there quite a bit in the late 1990's with my cousin. He would entertain clients and when would would back out, he would call me and I would be his "client". All they did was goose hunt back then. One one bluebird morning, I asked the guides over breakfast if we could duck hunt instead (because of the conditions). You could have heard a pin drop. They didn't even have any duck decoys laugh

Now I bet they do as much duck hunting as goose hunting.
