Hello to all,
Been reading the forum for a while...Thanks for all the great info I have recieved...
Now, I am new to hunting and on property that I can only use a bow...I want to make sure if I take a buck it is worth taking...There is not much if any managing aroung the farm land I am hunting...I am only on 15 acres but have a lot of dow activity...Just recently got a good buck (I think) on my camera...
Do I take this buck if I get the opportunity...Also, how old do you think it is...
Thanks in advance... \\Profiler\nextechcentral\MISC

I won't be much help for uploading the picture but I would say don't get too wrapped up about how big the deer is if you are new to hunting. Enjoy the experience of shooting a deer before you start being elective. Hunting with a bow is hard enough as it is. If there is not much management going on right now and you are waiting for a big buck, it may not happen. If you shoot a monster for your first buck it will all be down hill from there. Now if a monster walks by let that arrow fly!

your right, its more important to work on your skills than wait for the big bucks, by the way most hunters go for years before they even see the really big bucks. the challenge of the hunt is more important than the size of the antlers, you can't eat antlers any way.

Thats a great deer, mature for sure. I would be proud to take him as my first buck. best of luck to you.
