Hello all, I am new to this site. I am getting ready to move to Abilene in a couple weeks. Been living and hunting in New Mexico for the past few years. Had a great time here but am looking foward to hunting in Texas. I am Active Duty military and have been all over the world. Here are a few of my pics from here in New Mexico. Hopefully there are a few people on here around Abilene who could show me a few hunting spots.

My First Oryx-Measured 37 3/4 on good horn!

My First Bull Elk-Not huge but not your typical 5x5. One day I'll post the story, it was a heck of a hunt!

Scouting for Barbary Sheep Hunt!

These are just a few of my pictures from New Mexico. These are all public land hunts.

We have alot of them here. And a resident tag is pretty cheap. The military put them here years ago to see if they would survive. I am really going to miss hunting here. Its nice to only be 20 minutes away from 10K feet and on the elk. I just got done guiding a 12 year old on his first elk hunt. It was just a cow tag, but I was able to see a ton of bulls while i was out. He finally dropped one at about 200 on the last night of the hunt.

It 6 and 15 minutes to Ruidoso, for us in town, at Dyess it should be 6 hours.
