What would you pay for a day hunt (2 day hunt) on just over 14,000 acres way out in west texas for a quail hunt? Hunt would be do it yourself bring your own dogs etc. and predator hunting included although i will be on the premises and helping to the best of my ability. Im looking at putting together a decent group after deer season as we have been seeing alot of birds moving consitently the past several trips out there.

I offer primarily free range hunts and also preserve hunts on 1 million acres across west and southwest Texas for native and exotic game.

north of Sierra Blanca 18 miles, depending where your at on the ranch lodging is about 30 minutes away, yes you can bring your quad or ranger and you can camp out on the property as well as long as you pick up after yourself. The terrain is trans pecos type with hills, valleys, low and high shrub and there are a couple hundred acres in several spots with grass up to your chest that holds alot of the birds as well. There are several blues out here but we have been seeing alot of gambels and scailed out here as well. Coveys usually range from about 10 to 15 birds and on a regular drive out there on the ranch we jump 6 or 7 coveys a day just off the main road so more coverys than that to be expected while actually hunting for them.

Mike,
I may do a road trip with the dog the first half of Jan 2010 to Big Bend hunting each of the three Big TPWD WMA's down there. Spending maybe three to four days at each. If your idea works out well this season and you do it again next season I would be interested in working a couple days on your place into that plan. What I would pay?, don't know, but knowing the way I do these road trips hunting mostly public land to be able to afford the fuel, you are probably going to be out of my budget as far as such things go. But just in case, I made a note to give you a call next year to check on it. That is if I do in fact go west instead of east for a trip at that time.

I would be interested but I'll tell you the same thing I tell the car salesmen that ask me that question. It's your car, how much will you take for it?

LOL I posted that so late I didnt realize what I was typing about the blues and scaled! Thanks

Considering that its a do it yourself type thing and its remote/primitive and such I would only want to charge $150 a gun(2 day hunt) but would need a group of 3 at least just to cover expenses of getting to the ranch myself. That sound fair to you guys?
