Whatever is landing in the decoys that day is my favorite.

Weidgon drake they are pretty and not all the same. Ie storm, lots of green, little green etc. Never know what you're going to get X2. Locally. Bluebirds are my favorite to hunt and mount. All neatly spaced out to be skinned. Sticking to mounting every one I shoot. Have 12 now and doing 8 more in a big case. Unbelievable. brazosboyt where do you hunt?? 12 is a hell of a load to mount!

I can't hardly see it but the middle one looks like what was called a trade blank. Used to trade for goods it could be used for whatever purpose the person wanted, be it a knife, spear or a bunch of arrowheads.

Guess if I had a place to duck hunt all the time I would name a duck. Since I don't, I guess my name says it all. Dare to be different!!

I have a good friend that lives in AK and owns a shipping business. We hunt all over the Aleutian Islands. He knows the Aleut Indian family's all over where anything has to be shipped. Really cool going to some remote village on an island 300 miles off the coast of Russia. Same birds but every trips a new adventure. We are working on locations for 2014 and 2015 right now. Its a stupid amount of planning and executing to get it all setup, just for a few ducks. Its truly easier and cheaper to get a guide. Few more blue ducks from different locations. Homemade decs. One yr of planning, 3 guys, 600 lbs of gear, 4 days traveling-season limit in 30 min. Jakeleg brand.... With Rudolph My lab retrieving one out of the Bering sea. Surf and turf. Bering sea boatramp with a guide friend of mine on St. Paul island. You could say we are a little obsessed! Maybe a lot obsessed! Shipping the bateau. Ok crazy! Can't get enough. Just beautiful birds. And learning to do your own taxidermy does not save you money!

Two kinds of people vote democrat. Rich people that don't have to work, and poor people who don't want to work.
