Hey everyone!

First time on this site and a lot of good information and great people. Im somewhat of a new hunter, since Ill be doing it on my own this year. The lease I was on before was with my dad and family, so everything was pretty much setup. This time, Im starting from scratch, but Im excited about the challenge.

Anyways, I live in the Rockwall area yet hunt in Lone Star, Tx. Just curious if anyone is around that area?

Anyways, love the site and look forward to learning from a lot of you.

Thanks,
Jack

Welcome, I live in Euless, work in Mt. Pleasant, and hunt in Marshall. I'm all around you, man. Lone Star has some mighty fine looking scenery.

Heck no. I stay in MP during the week. This is temporary arrangement until we get the house sold.

It certainly does. Used to have a lot of deer too, especially closer to lake o' Pines. I had a chance to buy 100 acres for $100 an acre with lakeview back in 81. It might as well been a million dollars to me back then, It sold the first week (Of course) before I could get the money together. It was a beautiful area back then. I'm sure it still is.

Its right there by the Lake O' The Pines and 557. The lease is off of FM 2796. There is a lot of land around there!

Yes I live in Hughes Springs and work in Pittsburg and hunt all around the area and the public lands. There are a lot of opportunities in the area. i'm familiar with 2796 and beware of poachers and have the game warden on speed dial. They patrol the area behind the steel mill heavily.
