Maybe..maybe not..may have been hit in a void or non lethal area...about 10 yrs ago I shot a big 9 pt and arrow hit a twig and deflected and hit back by liver area. Looked for that deer for 7 days straight. A month later during rifle season a kid down the road shot it under his feeder. It was unbelievable , that deer bled like crazy for 100 yards and I just knew it was dead somewhere...

He got ahold of me and my wife around three this afternoon to bring my dogs out but We are out of area this weeken an not able to track. I passed on a few local guys with dogs near him and haven't heard if anyone went out to help. From the sounds of it, the shot was a through and through and he said he believed entry was good. Personally how the deer reacted I would say it got the liver. The deer hunched up when it was struck.

Hope he finds it! I shot a big 6.5 yo 9pt several years back... put a Muzzy right in the boiler room at 20yards. Tracked that deer for over 3 miles and never found him. My cousin was sitting in a stand 2 miles away and saw him running across the field. He actually took pictures of it... you could see blood running down his leg. I am still PO'd about it.
