Not sure what the difference is, but I like the CFS at the George's Back Porch, Back Deck, Back Door, or whatever it's called out in Hewitt/Lorena than the one in Waco. Both are good, though.

Very delicious with the cheese...

On a side note, every mexican food place in that small town has a old picture of a creepy lady hanging close to the cash register in everyone of the places?

Anybody have any clue why?

She owned the "El Paraiso" I can't remember her name but she was old 20 years ago. I used to eat there 3-4 times a year and she was always there.

Best 2 chicken fried steaks I have ever had are Z'tejas in Austin and Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls.

Z' Tejas is a chicken fried ribeye steak.

Had the CFS at George's in Waco Saturday and it was VERY good. It's on Speight right off -35. You can see the sign.

If you make it through East Texas try Bertha's in Maydelle and Barb's Too in Rusk. Both are great and plenty of CFS.

Mary's serves mashed potatoes. A bit starchy but pretty good.

Dang will have to try next time. We wanted to go there a couple of weeks ago but bad weather threats kept us home.
