I just read a post that a guys phone battery went down while in the stand. The more you use your phone doesn't the battery go down? One thing you may want to add to your bag or keep in your truck for emergency. There is a phone charger that runs on a 9volt battery. It's small and plugs into your phone and will charge it while walking or in the stand. I think you can find them on ebay or maybe Best Buy. Just a FYI for your safety.
Thanks, Jigfish

Turn the brightness way down & the batt tends to last a lot longer.

O.....M.....G.......you dang teenagers and your cell phones, first at the dinner table and now in the deer stand! SMH
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

If you need a cell phone to hunt, maybe you need a new recreational outlet, turn he damn thing off, save it for an emergency.

I need the buck score app to field judge deer and the GPS app to keep me from getting lost in the woods, bc I'm that terrible of a hunter.

one of the reasons I GO to the lease is because the phone doesn't work there!

What are you guys talking about. I love to read my twitter feed, instagram, huffington post, and when I look up after 10 minutes not knowing what I missed. it's funny how if you look down for 1 minute, you can miss something moving through the woods. don't get me wrong. I always have my phone with me when I hunt but for texting the other guys on the lease and for emergencies, plus...I like to listen to Enya right before I pull the trigger...calms me down.

Since there are no deer worth shooting in ETX, I might as well use mine on the stand to surf the net.

cell phones don't work when you turn off the highway onto my road.
jmo, but if one isn't entertained enough watching nature out in the bush, i would think one would need a different pastime.

Yes, there are so many external chargers on ebay, amazon or some other websites. If there is no signal, I often shut off the phone. I also carry an external charger with me, in case of running out of power. I highly recommend this one: RAVPower 14000mah power bank, with large capacity and easy to carry. It really helps me a lot.

I keep mine on. What if you have an emergency at home. If one of your hunting buddies need help and can call of text you. A lot of time I wonder what others are seeing and what time they are getting out of the stand. Now I can communicate with my CELL PHONE!!
Thanks, Jigfish
