That's terrific! Very excited for you. And yes, that snake looks like a Timber Rattler (aka Canebrake) - very bad. Be careful.

Yes it was about a 3 1/2 ft timbee rattler maybe 4 ft. And he struck at me but I snapped a few photos. And I got bored hunting and edited it on my phone lol saw 3 that weekend

Good job and a very nice trophy. You will remember that for a long time and the memory will still be a successful trophy. That's pretty good eating to if you like trying different recipes. You better watch out for those texas boys if you keep being successful.  How do you like your range marker system, that is a good quick range system for preventing misjudged ranges. The huntress has awakened.

I love my range finder. I always wrong for mis judging so my boyfriend got me the rangefinder for Christmas last year. Best money spent!

thanks! it was the best time of my life! very enjoyable sitting around seeing a ton of deer! never have seen that many in one sitting than my WHOLE life!

Timber rattlers are protected in east texas. I don't know about other parts of texas or other states. But if you kill one or posses one in east texas you can hve a hefty fine or even go to prison is what they say!
