Kent fast steel in 3 shot and sometimes 3" sometimes 3.5" it just all depends how angry I am at the ducks.

Some 2 3/4" #3 lighting steel reloads, some 3" #2 Rios I got on sale a while ago, also throw in some Kents.
For geese I'll shoot reloads as well as Kents and Federal Black Clouds. I have some Hevi Steel but I never could tell the difference with it vs regular steel so I figure it's a waste of money to buy them going forward.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

I picked me up some heavi-Shot this year to try out. Last year I used the cheap steel xperts.

Rem Steel, but I have picked up a couple of boxes of BlackCloud to run a pattern test with before hunting with them

I'm usually shooting the fastest, fps, steel I can find in 3 inch 12 gauge.
My son has shot some bismuth through his 20 gauge but hard to tell if it makes a difference.

The last few years I have been shooting hevi at them and it hits them like a hammer. I have heard a lot about the faststeel by kent and will give some of that a try this year after my hevi I bought last year runs out. Who knows... maybe I have just become a better shot over the years and the whole hevi Vs. Steel thing is in my mind. I will find out soon.

Mainly kent faststeel but also have a couple of boxes of hevi-shot in the bag for special occasions. We figured it up last year and with the shevi-shot its about 3 bucks a shot...kinda crazy but it does lay em down.

My dad gave me at least a hundred shells of assorted brands with most of the brands being Winchester experts and none of the shells are 3inch its all 2 3/4 with a dozen or so 3 1/2s im not complaing because its free shells.

I go by speed when I buy shells. I buy either Kent 3 #2's @1550fps or winchester expert in the same. If those 2 are not available I go with something thati s close to the same speed.

3" 12 guage #2 Xperts. Louder than haites out of my son's Mossberg 500 Waterfowl (has ported barrel)

I guess I will buy both the blackcloud and the "cheap" stuff like rem shur shot steel or win experts and see which one works better. If I find myself taking alot of shots... then I go with steel. If I am only able to go out once or twice this season, I might as well buy one box of Blackcloud or hevi-shot cause I'll probably not even use all of them!
Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.

Just remember Black Cloud likes an open choke. I learned this after shooting 9 boxes out of the case I bought last year.
