I am looking for a yearly lease in the Clay, Montaque, Wise, Jack, Young, or Palo Pinto County area for two hunters. We would bring our wife's with us sometime. Our price range is 1000 to 1400 per gun. I know this is very early but we would like to get something lined up before next year.

I would start looking at the end of this season around late January or February for next year!!! That way you nay see pics of what was killed this year and numbers killed for a better understanding of what lease is like!!! Plus they would have a better understanding of any openings coming up!!!

I found my new lease quite by accident!!! I shot a doe on last year;s lease and went to a new processor and just told him that at the end of season I was getting off that lease and he and his grandfather ran the lease I'm presently on and that they had kicked some of the hunters off for breaking lease rules!!! I just got lucky!!! I went back in Feb a couple of times to scout lease, (with their permission), and paid in March!!!

Get friendly with the local feed store owner, his main business is ranchers. He'll know when spots open up. Processor is another option, but not as reliable.
