Been meaning to post this for a while. Here's the pintail mount I got from last season. I'm very happy with the way this one turned out.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

The guy that did it told my dad that he was going to put it in his brochure.
My pictures never do these things justice.

Ducks are amazing. It's awesome how when you have them in hand you can see all kinds of colors at various angles.
The cool thing about getting a mount is it not only gives you a very neat duck to look at but it also preserves the memories of the hunt where you took the duck. I shot that one two days before xmas last year and then ended up getting very sick...so sick that I actually turned down a hunting invite on private...something that I've never done in my life, lol.

$200-250. I'm sure people in bigger cities/areas charge more.

In the air, on the water, mounted on the wall. Pintail sprig is just a pretty bird. and that is a real nice mount, i managed to knock one down last year also, but blew most of his head off so couldn't mount. maybe this year.
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting.......holy kaka.....What a Ride!

That is one of the best mounts I have seen.

Pretty bird for sure. Seems like every year I get closer and closer to shooting one, I have yet to take a shot at one, but I have had a many work my spread. Nice mount for sure!

Looks good Marstar, where did you have it done? Mine is still in the freezer, and I like that pose

Locks in Rogers. Before I got my last one done I asked a handful of guys I knew that had mounts where they got it done and they all said Locks was the best around here.

still waiting on mine to be finished, great minds think alike, and you have great taste, and all that crap, mine is done in the exact same pose
You can kill a fly with a sledgehammer.
But do you really need to son?

Hell Cypert...I just told the guy I wanted it flying and to look good, lol. He did the rest.
From what little I know I think it's always a good idea to give the guy doing the bird a little artistic license. Some birds will look better certain ways even if they are the same kind.
