I hunt in Trinity county. I noticed some small rubs last weekend for the first time. They were not there sat., but they were on sunday. Anyone else seen any sign of the "rut"?

I wouldn't consider Rubs signs of the rut. Scrapes maybe but rubs no.

Why can't y'all stay on topic! Geeesh. Brother in Law is right, rubs is not a got sign. Look for scrapes.

I saw some scrapes the other night about midnight while Seth was setting up our ground blind. Sissy was chasing Bubba around the feeder with a butcher knife for stealing her Doe-In-Heat bottle and scraped him up pretty bad.

I hunt in san jacinto county and we saw several scrapes last weekend. the rut in our area is typically pretty early in november with the peak being somewhere during the second week.

I will not comment on the cam pics. I think they pretty much speak for themselves!

Hunted the Richland Creek WMA last week and everyone that I spoke with said that every buck seen was chasing a doe.

Dozer, mulched, and trackhoe work. Fencelines, senderos, tanks. Let me know if I can help with any dirtwork or construction.

Last weekend the bucks in Freestone County were showing signs of Rut. I had a couple of bucks tear in to each other right under my tripod Saturday afternoon.
And I used my doe grunt and everytime I hit it bucks would come in.

A whitetail rub route defines the buck's travel route during the rut. The amount of damage and the size of the tree help determine the stage of the rut. The size of the tree, and the kind and amount of damage to the tree help determine the relative size and configuration of the buck's rack.
