Thinking about it, but not planning to stay the whole show. Was going to call and see if they are running the animals through in roughly alphabetical order like they used to. Only thing I'd be interested in buying would be some aoudad stockers.

I'll probably be there. May be the last one. I have a place just 5 miles south of their gate so it's a pretty easy commute.

There is an auction this weekend at The Bison Ranch as well. I will probably go to that instead. They are supposed to have zebra, 100+ buffalo, pere david, a few axis and sika, 100+ red deer, and all kinds of farm equipment. I used to hunt this place a few years ago and it looks like they are selling everything out including the property.

I'm assuming he means it could be the last Y.O. exotic sale....since the ranch is for sale. If it sells, there's no guarantee the sale will continue under new ownership.

And dangit!! Why would the bison ranch run a sale opposite the YO??? I really would like to buy a buncha bison!

There selling the Y.O ranch?

It's the place north of I-10 on Hwy 304. Supposed to be on Oct. 5 and they are selling just about every piece of equipment and animal on the place.

Supposed to be 100+ bison. I know they have some white bison as well. 100+ red deer too. Pere david, sika, zebra and some llamas.

This was the place I did my water buffalo and bison hunts on years ago. They have been selling bits and pieces of their property for years now.

I'm going to the bison ranch and sending my wife to the YO. It could be an expensive day.....

Axis males from $325 to $1500. Mixed bunch 1 spike and 6 females $475 each. S.H.Oryx I did not pay much attention but from $500 to $1000 is what I saw. Mouflon males from $625 to $1650. Longhorn steers from $750 to $1150. 2 young Buffalo females $625 each. 2 Blackbelly Corsican males$200 each. 2 Red Sheep females $200 each. 3 Red Sheep males $1750 each. Arabian Oryx $2200 to $2500. Grants Gazelle $3500. Pere David $1400 to $1600. Blesbok $2100 to $3200.Waterbuck $1550. Dama Gazelle $2900. Nyala Bid up to $5900 wanted $11,000. Addax $550 to $3900. Eland $1300 to $2200. Red Lechwe $1000 to $2300. Kudo $6750 to $12,000. Wildebeest $1700. Grants Zebra $2500 to $4250. Grevys Zebra $2300. Mixed Nubian Ibex kids from$1050 to $1700 each. My nephew just called and told me about the blackbuck selling at the YO. I left right after the Ibex sold so I did not see the Blackbuck sell. He said that 17 and 18 inch sold for around $1500. A 23 inch sold for $5000. A 25 inch sold for $6700. WOW. He sells Blackbuck and said he is going to have to go up on his prices.

how did the Nubians look don?

Looked pretty good. Some with better knots than others. The kids it was hard to tell being so young. Seemed to be a little pressure on males but the mixed lot with the 4 females brought real good money. Did not seem to be as many people at the sale. When I left after the Ibex sold there were a lot of empty seats and that was only a little over half way in the auction.
