Haven't been able to get out there since Thanksgiving, going Friday for 4-5 days, just wanted to get a scouting report!

I wish better news, but pretty lousy movement at our place west of Archer City. Last visuals the weekend before Thanksgiving.

The deer are on the wheat and aren't hitting the feeders very well.

my buddy hunted south of windthorst on saturday morning and saw a couple of does and a yearling buck come to the feeder but other than that not much moving.. we need about 2inches of rain to rot all of the acorns on the ground, most have already dropped.. come on rain..

I hunt approximately 10 miles south of Windthorst and this past Sunday everything was bedded down as the only two deer I saw jumped out of tight brush as I was going to my stand. It was warm and as already stated the feeders are just not producing yet. I think it take wet and cold weather to get the deer up and moving. This has been the worst deer season I can remember in terms of weather. Hopefully it will get better this weekend.

I'm all around you guys and I've never and I repeat never seen odd behavior, little or no movement like this year. Corn stacked up to the ceiling on multiple feeders.(untouched) The deer are avoiding the feeders and fields around us. I still say it's the acorns. No rain or moisture to rot them out. I agree with above post-it's the worst I've seen.

I am hunting in Megergel and we have had the same reports as you guys. We haven't seen squat.

I work in Vernon (Wilbarger co.) and drive through waggoner ranch pasture every day to get to work, most deer seen have been on wheat and in thick brush, very early and late. I also have a friend that hunts in Clay co. and is seeing the same thing.

Should be at the lease by 4 today, in a stand by 430....and hopefully field dressing Muy by dark! Thanks for the info guys, we are hearing the same thing at our place. Little movement, not much at the feeders (except Turkeys, I hate turkeys).

My brother and I drove into Archer City from Seymour just before sunset last night. Yep, what few deer we saw were out in the wheat fields - or headed that way. The only bright spot was that apparently at least one deer was under my feeder recently - and dropped some dung on all that built-up corn!

I know the frustration, Greybeard Acres and acres of acorns are keeping the deer out of my feeders. No rain to make the acorns sour makes for a late feeder get-together

Didn't see a good buck during the pre-Christmas hunt. But saw more movement and more deer than before. The post Christmas hunt 25th-today was much better. Lots of deer moving, all day in fact.
I shot a nice 9 point about 1730 Monday evening. Another hunter took a 1x2 spike with 13" single beam! My 9 point had two brow tines on one side or would have been really symmetrical/typical.
Really like that country in SW Archer County/Eastern Baylor county.
