Got to the lease late last night. Checked the cameras and I have a ton of does and Turkey. One small Buck but he isn't a shooter. Haven't seen anything but spiders all over the stand this morning. I'm hoping as the season rolls on and the rut starts up ill see more bucks. Anyone else up and at it yet?

Decent morning in fort bend county, except the guys cutting trees along the power line right o ways left their souped up chainsaw on tracks 30 yards from my stand. Saw a 6 point, mature 9 that wouldnt meet ARs, and last but not least a longhorn spike which i shot. Just got him inthe cooler and cleaned my truck, now its drizzling.

This mornings hunt was about what I expected! I saw a total of 8 does, four fawns, five bucks, one really nice one in the low 130's and 18 turkeys and one coyote...Oh, yeah a big old owl! The deer never came to the feeder and stayed out about 100 yards feeding under the oaks and then bedded down in sight of my blind at around 8:45. After about an hour they got spooked and high tailed it. Lots of acorns falling like rain! It's going to be tough!
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

This evening is looking the same. Some Turkey and a nice little 75# sow. I may snag her if it gets too dark for deer. She keeps coming back!
