Hi guys, here's my first post on the THF. The guys at TFF recommended I ask this here.
The Christmas shopping is starting earlier than usual for me this year ... looking for a night vision riflescope for my brother so he can slaughter hogs & coyotes on the north 200 year round day & night. Budget is not to exceed $2,000
Now I know next to nothing about commercially available night vision scopes - price, performance, manufacturers, etc - what I know on the subject is entirely related to my days as a Marine. Anyone have recommendations or suggestions as to specific makes/brands/models?
Thank you

If that's your max then it keeps you in the Digital NV or Gen 2 NV. There is supposedly a scoped digital NV coming out by sightmark in the 1000 and less cats gory. No release date.
There are Gen 2 removable NV like PS-22 which is good because you can just add in front of already scoped rifle. But there have been complaints point of impact differs from day scope to NV.
Digital NV you can run day or night such as Pulsar N550 or N750. But you day time shots are going to be limited in distance but it works great at night.
You can find used Gen3 with blemishes around 1700 but you still have to get a NV scope like Eotech or aim point which will push you over your budget slightly.

check dvor.com They run specials that change daily and typically have some decent NV at a pretty good price. You have to register, but that aint no thing. I have a NV-setup for hogs, but I honestly haven't run it yet. Mine is WELL within your price range though. I've only messed with it outside a few times. Seems legit though.

You should try out the ATN Paladin and the Night Arrow 2. These are on opposite ends on the price spectrum but still should get the job done lovely! What rifle is he putting it on? Try Webyshops for the Paladin.

Try Webyshops for the Paladin. Has anyone ever seen this throught a night vision scope or is this image a photoshopped image all night vision manufacturers pass around to each other?
I'm a terrible shot but I follow up with a grenade!
