Heading out of the office and making the 4 hour drive to Goldthwaite, Hope I catch this Cold front good. Good luck guys. The heavy rut is on the downhill side now but there is still some chasing going on. Mostly smaller young bucks. But then again I saw a big mature buck after a hot yearling just yesterday in western Mills. The cooler weather after Wednesday will help as always with deer movement. Good luck Chuck.

I'm seeing some nice bucks on camera. Protein must be working. Hopefully we got a ton rain a week or so ago. My tanks are drying up. I'm eight or so miles south of Goldthwaite.
Another restaurant opened in Goldthwaite on a side street by the park south of town (across from the BBQ place). Good food and I believe it to be the best in town. But for some reason, eateries in that location don't seem to last.

Lost the place I was on. Could probably still get on it but the new land owner my wifes uncle is dealing with family things and what not and I dont want to bother him. First time in over 10 years I havent gotten to hunt. It really hurts bc I lost my grandfather a few weeks ago and the woods would sure be a nice escape since we had spent so many days together at the farm. If anyone knows of any good day hunts for spikes or does leave me a PM I sure would like to get out.

Nice buck. I took a new job and am gonna be hunting south of Floresville this season. Just was told last week by the landowner pay 200 and u can hunt. No problem!!! Been hand feeding corn past few days where I plan on hunting and the deer have already found it the first night. Feeder will go up next Monday but will hand feed till then. Won't have any idea what's coming in till opening weekend so I'm pretty excited! Rut isnt till second week of December and only gonna hunt every other time I have off but o well that just means I won't put a lot of pressure on it he said they shot a 12 last yr but I won't believe it till I see what quality walks through.
