These are my options for opening day (both public):

30 minute drive to hunt turkey, having done scouting, from ground blind.

90 minute drive to hunt deer, from ground blind, minimal scouting, no tree stand, using hand spread bait.

Flip a coin

Those turkey will be there later. Go Git a big ol buck!

What does the drive time have anything to do with it?
It's recreation and its hunting.....and your not in the office!

I would think the H word you used is not necessary. In fact, I'm really surprised it didn't get censored like other words in here. You do know there are kids on the forum, and how are they are to learn its not okay to say certain things are inappropriate if we, or you, use this sort of language.

The land I am considering for turkey does't allow deer hunting.

I'm getting the consensus I should go after deer. The only reason I brought up distance is my truck is aging and I worry about breakdowns when I drive long distances. Might be fun to strap a deer to the top of my sedan though.
