If you could do a PM hunt this Thursday before the front, or next Monday, after the front, but not both, which would you choose? This is looking at north Texas with a front pushing through Friday/Saturday.
I have limited days that I can hunt, but some flexibility about when they are, and just want to make the most of my time.

I would say Monday. Front should (hopefully) move the birds along

I like pre front. Always been good to me for all hunting and fishing. After a front passes theres a barametric pressure change that makes all game and fish in active for a bit. The front will will start to hit north tx tmaro night so my vote is hunting tmaro both morning and afternoon should be good. The front hits me in comal county on Friday afternoon. And Sundays low temp. Is 65 degrees in the hill country.

I hunted this morning and got 1 bird in the same spot I had groups of 5-10 landing in the decoys just a few days ago.

I cannot hunt until Sat. morning so it will be post front for me. I loaded up on quarters for the car wash because I know it is going to be muddy. If I could hunt this afternnon I would.

Well, due to getting busy at work today, I'm looking at going Monday. I always like fishing pre front, but I haven't figured out which I like better for birds yet.

I can't say I have ever seen a pattern. I have shot birds pre-front, and shot birds during front, and shot birds post fronts. Also been skunked, pre, during, and post fronts. So front comes thru, pushes birds out, at same time pushes birds in, so a wash on average???
I will say this, you got birds sitting on a hole, you want to shoot them before a front comes, because those birds could be gone when front hits, but hopefully more birds are coming but can take a while for the duck hole to fill with birds again..

I agree. That's what I saw with the doves. I was having groups of 5-30 consistently for about an hour or 2 morning and afternoon. Yesterday not much, they pushed out.

Pre front is normally best, but nothing is 100%.
