Just wondering if anyone has seen birds yet in Grayson County, particularly around Gunter. I have not been able to scout my hole yet. I plan to probably go anyway and just see what happens.

Why does it have to be so secretive? I thought forums were good avenues for tips and tactics.

Tips and tactics, yes. Hot spots and honey holes, no.

He asked if there were birds in a county..That's not a hotspot or honey hole... there is no Public Land in Gunter.

I was in Howe the other day and didn't see any Tealz btw..

nobody asking for gps coordinates. Cities and Counties are large areas of land. No different than posting pics of big bucks. We all know the general areas they come from just not the exact property.

Never said you were. Just stating what you'll be able to get out of the forum.

Yep, and his answer was honest. There really are not near as many teal down right now as there was at this time in previous years. Your hunting it anyway, so good luck Saturday. Thinking positive, looking forward to the pictures.

we hunt just east of you near westin. we have a game camera for deer on our pond and are not getting much activity. It will also catch ducks that swim by because of it's position. I had a few coming in over the last couple weeks but nothing to get excited about. I checked the cameras yesterday evening when we were dove hunting and there have not been teal in front of the camera in over a week.

If you have much water you should be in good shape. most everything is dry. one of ours is bone dry but the other is ready to go.

I’ve been hunting west of Gunter and accept for opening Sunday when I saw 3 teal I have not seen any since. Hunted Yesterday evening and didn’t see any ducks at all. My father in-law has a place between Weston and Celina and he has not seen any ducks as well.

Going to head to one of my ponds tomorrow morning by Texoma to see, but the land owner said they have not seen very many either.

I have hunted every day except Sunday in Fannin county and I have seen a total of 8 birds. Yesterday and today were total blanks - hoping the weather this weekend brings them down.
