Come to think of it, I cranked one of mine back up a few weeks ago, and they were there that same evening. Including two of my shooters.

If you are worried about the motor noise driving them away then put out a protein feeder with corn and soybean or Alfalfa pellets.

I put one Up the weekend after Thanksgiving. It took two weeks for the deer to find it, and it was the first time we ever put a feeder out.

nope. i've had a feeder going on a new place for 3 weeks now and have zero pics of deer at it, i spread some hand corn back behind it in the grass and they eat it all within 2-3 days. we hunted the 200 acres south of it all last year and had 4-5 mature bucks that werent seen at feeders at all, all pics came from hand corn.

bowslayer i feel your pain, lol. i think getting a feeder going won hurt, but i would keep the hand corning too.

I bought a new place a few weeks ago, we've had a feeder up and camera for over two weeks and only got pics of my dad checking the card.

We put up a different camera a week into it as we thought maybe it was not working.

Its still a bit green around the place, so I am telling myself they are just not hitting corn yeat.

We also planted about half an acre of rye and winter wheat. Now hopefully wichita county will get some rain!

Dry as it's been around my parts when you set a feeder off just before sundown you better take cover before the stampede. grin

Not monsters but not bad for East Texas bucks that have not been fed.

Well I put the feeder up a couple of weeks ago. Deer completely stopped coming there for about 10 days. I went and checked the camera today and some of them have come back so hopefully I will have some luck hunting there.

It's never too late to put up a feeder.

Congratulations on your new place. They'll show up. Rut kicks in about Thanksgiving in your area. The bucks are susceptible to rattling before that though, even opening weekend. Good luck and tell us a story when you get your first deer off of your place.

Was starting a feeder up couple years ago( same place for 2 years) tested a couple times and 2 does walked out of the brush. Deer know that sound.
