I have to part with my dog. We just had our 3rd child and now I have a 4 year old, 2 year old and newborn. We are moving from our home on 4 acres to the city with a very small yard. I used to hunt quail but don't have the time anymore. The dog's name is Lieu. His parents were both AKC registered but I never registerd Lieu. He will be 9 this October. He is not neutered. He is the sweetest dog and would be great with kids. He is still full of energy and will run all day long. He will run and won't come back until he is ready. A perfect scenario would be soemone with a large fenced in yard. He was trained when he was one and was hunted over for one season. He has a great nose but I wouldn't plan on doing a lot of hunting with him. Please let me know if you are interested. This breaks my heart but it is best for him.

Your making a serious mistake! What's the difference in a small yard and a kennel? You say you used to hunt quail now you don't have time? Make time, otherwise you will just sit on the couch and grow old without memories to get you through the days when you can't do anything.

I have a three boys...4 years old, 2 years old and a newborn who has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. He also will have to have open heart surgery in a month or two. I will be outdoors again once the smoke clears and the boys get a little older. Primary responsibility is to my family and hunting will have to take a back seat for a while. Not letting this dog run and chase birds would be a tragic mistake.
