Homedepot has sunshade material that comes on a roll that you buy by the foot.It is 6' wide and as long as you want and it might give you a idea to protect those windows.Fasten it towards the end of the rafters and roll it up from the bottom. You can lower it to control the heat or lower when you think a hail storm is coming through. The 6' probably isn't going to be long enough but you can sew additional material to get the length you need. For the roller on the bottom use 1 or 1 1/2 " pvc water pipe with caps on both ends. You can use sand, lead ect to add some weight to the roller if needed.I think you can figure out how it works. grin

Looks good......what are you doing for the floor? I sprayed all the grass in mine with round up, laid weed block, overlaid that with hardware cloth then put down river rock.

FWIW - I purchased a number of items from these people.

So far so good......I have a fan plugged in to this. Its adjustable and works with heaters also. I have mine set to turn the fan on/off at 95 degrees.

http://www.growerssupply.com/farm/suppli...s;pgcr2045.html

My fan sits on the ground and points up at the vent in the ceiling which is temperature controlled. A little cylinder filled with bees wax opens and closes the vent with the temperature changes.

One like this would open and close louvered windows.

Have you given any thought to the humidity/water in the cooler months? Our greenhouses are lexan and it "rains" in the winter time when you slam the door

Might be humidity where you live. BMs Gma's doesn't do that but it's like this one. A lot of ventilation.

Either way I thought it would look dumb with just the front done, so I did all sides. I'm sure the sides will serve no purpose but it makes it look better

Hey East, looks great! Now go get a couple of rain barrels and catch that gutter run off!

Im actually going to use the gutter off the corner of the shop for that. Will be able to hide the barrels behind the bush, and I think I will catch more that way.

Want to come build one up here? That is great, raised on a farm so we have a garden here on the edge of town but canned veggies aren't the same as fresh ones. Great work.

Looks great you did a good job on that. Just watch the room over the years. We built a overhang over the patio in my back yard with the same stuff for the roof. It is ten years old now and the last storm we got with some hail busted all kind of holes in it. The hail won't do anything soon but over time I think the stuff gets weaker.

Thanks Walter. You are correct. We have to replace the same panels on the barn about every 5-6 years cause it gets brittle

I added some braces, after the 8" of rain we got they were definitely in stress taking that much water at one time. This should help

That's pretty nice. I've been wanting to buy or build one also. They want a ton of money for some of those pre built ones
