I took some advice from randalls7 on the profile, and the scales are some that Dink Dodger and I cut from some mesquite root he brought over and we cut into scales. The steel is 3/16 1095, overall length is 8 1/2 the handle will be 4 1/2. Tell me if you like the shape? I also did a little file work under the scales, I got some advice from randalls7 on how to do it with a 1/2 round file.

I like the shape of that one. I handled a knife at cabelas today with a handle shaped like that that I almost bought but I would rather have a custom

This one will be in the classifieds when I'm done if anyone is interested.
It should be a sweet looking knife!
Thanks for the kind words!

Dude, you are getting good at that. Very nice.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

I got it heat treated yesterday, the pins cut and the scales rough shaped, I also decided to go with a full spine thorn and vine.
